Phantom Peak coming to Westfield Stratford this Summer

The landscape of Westfield Stratford City is about to get a lot more adventurous. This week, the creators of Phantom Peak, London’s critically acclaimed "open-world" immersive experience, officially announced they are moving their entire operation to a massive new permanent home in the heart of Stratford.
Set to open in Summer 2026, the attraction will occupy a multi-level, purpose-built venue, bringing its unique blend of "real-life video game" storytelling and steampunk-cowboy aesthetics to our doorstep.

What is Phantom Peak?

For those who haven't made the trip to their current site in Canada Water, Phantom Peak is far more than a standard escape room or theatre show. It is a fully realised town inhabited by live actors where visitors are the protagonists.
Upon entry, guests use their phones to access the town’s "Jonassist" app, which guides them through branching mysteries known as "trails." Whether you want to solve a political scandal for the local Mayor, investigate paranormal activity, or just spend four hours playing carnival games and drinking at the saloon, the choice is yours.

A Look Inside: The Three Districts

The Stratford venue isn't just a relocation; it’s a massive expansion. The new site will feature three distinct themed districts for guests to explore:
  • The Old Town: An underground industrial mining hub that serves as the "heart" of the town’s industry.
  • The Town Square: A bustling, modern area featuring multi-story buildings, the Town Hall, and the iconic Thirsty Frontier Saloon.
  • Lakeside: A scenic area built around a massive indoor lake, complete with a functioning watermill and its signature water wheel.

What’s New for the Stratford Expansion?

The move to Westfield allows the creators, The League of Adventure, to push the boundaries of "competitive socialising." Local residents can look forward to:
  • 7-Day Access: Unlike the original site, the Stratford venue will feature a fully themed bar and restaurant open seven days a week, accessible even if you aren't doing the full immersive experience.
  • VIP Train Arrivals: A new three-tier entry system will include a "Platinum" experience where guests arrive at the town via a personalised train carriage.
  • Enhanced Technology: The town will be powered by "wingman" units, allowing actors to trigger real-time lighting, sound, and physical effects (like steam or moving machinery) as you interact with them.
  • A "Ten-Year" Plan: The creators have signed a long-term lease, aiming for a decade of stories in Stratford, with the town’s narrative and decor evolving every 3–4 months with "new seasons."

"We're thrilled to be bringing Phantom Peak to the iconic Westfield Stratford City," says Nick Moran, Co-Founder and Creative Director. "This marks an exciting evolution... we can’t wait to create an experience that blows guests away, time and time again."
